The town house No. 36 in Fügnerova Street in Kašperské Hory is listed as a cultural monument. Originally a Baroque house, it was rebuilt sometime during the 19th century and renovated in the first half of the 20th century. Archaeological research conducted in 2025 confirmed the previous hypothesis that the foundations of the house are of Gothic origin and probably date back to the early 14th century, i.e. the reign of John of Luxembourg. The foundations of the house are therefore probably older than Kašperk Castle. Part of an old millstone is walled into the exposed foundation masonry to the left of the current entrance.
